Arson Fires and Severide’s Absence in Chicago Fire

New Episode Promo

Chicago Fire is moving forward without Kelly Severide, but arson is on the rise. A new episode promo suggests that someone is intentionally setting fires in the city, but Severide is not there to investigate.

Severide’s Departure

Severide left Chicago in the third episode of the season to help with a major arson case involving the death of a federal agent. His wife, Stella Kidd, was initially hesitant about him leaving again, but she eventually agreed.

Severide’s Return

Severide is expected to return to Firehouse 51 at some point, especially since he wouldn’t miss the wedding of his friend, Matthew Casey.

Episode 4 Synopsis

The synopsis for Episode 4, titled “The Little Things,” reveals that Julia will spend a few days at 51, Boden’s stepson, James, will return seeking help for his mother, and Kidd and her team will investigate a fire started by a little girl in her backyard.

New Firefighter Derrick Gibson

The promo also features new firefighter Derrick Gibson, played by Rome Flynn.

Kara Killmer’s Departure

Actress Kara Killmer is approaching her final episodes as paramedic Sylvie Brett. Her replacement has already been announced.

Tracy Spiridakos’ Departure

Actress Tracy Spiridakos is also leaving Chicago P.D. Her final episodes as Detective Hailey Upton will air this spring.

Torres’ Return

A new episode of Chicago P.D. will feature the return of Officer Dante Torres, played by Benjamin Levy Aguilar, who has been absent for the first few episodes of Season 11.
